When we were in Wales,
we stayed at this neat, old bed and breakfast place. A girl in our group asked if there was an elevator, because we were all lugging around huge suitcases. The older man helping us said, “No. Even if we had a lift, it wouldn’t work anyway.”
Of course, we asked why not.
“Because we have a ghost, of course!” he said, smiling all big and sincere at us.
It was weird, for us, that he was that… frank (and happy) about it. It was also sufficiently creepy once we went to bed. It didn’t help that we also hiked up to Dinas Brân that evening, too.
I think I’m trying to point out how different his approach was to the whole haunted aspect then it would be at a hotel here.
